Apace Choir to Perform at Nebraska State Capitol Rotunda
The Apace Choir will present a special public performance at the Nebraska State Capitol on Wednesday, April 29 at 12:00 p.m. The concert will take place in the Capitol Rotunda on the second floor and is free and open to the public.
The Apace Choir is made up of individuals supported by Apace in both Lincoln and Crete, bringing together voices from across Southeast Nebraska in a celebration of music, community, and inclusion. The group will perform a selection of familiar and uplifting songs during the half-hour concert.
The choir is led by Dr. Jay Gilbert, professor emeritus of music at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska, whose leadership and passion for music help create a meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.
Apace is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Southeast Nebraska. Through programs focused on education, daily living, and community engagement, Apace empowers individuals to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Community members, state employees, and visitors to the Capitol are encouraged to attend and enjoy this special performance.
