Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln Hosts Annual Big Putt Golf Tournament

.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln, a leading nonprofit dedicated to community-based youth mentorship, is happy to announce the 2nd Annual Big Putt Golf Tournament. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 10th, at the beautiful Woodland Hills Golf Course in Eagle, NE.

This exciting tournament aims to raise funds to support our program through expanded opportunities for Little/Big mentoring matches and increased support for families we serve. The tournament will bring together golf enthusiasts, community leaders, and businesses for a day filled with celebration and philanthropy.

BBBS Lincoln’s Director of Community Engagement, Amber Nore, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "Our Big Putt golf tournament is an important part of our fundraising efforts, allowing us to make a meaningful impact on young people in our community. We're grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers who make this event possible."

The tournament will feature a four-person scramble format, offering players of all skill levels an opportunity to compete and contribute to a worthy cause. In addition to the golf tournament, participants can look forward to trying their luck in course games and a raffle featuring prizes from local businesses!

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals looking to align themselves with the importance of mentorship and gain community exposure. By sponsoring the Big Putt, sponsors demonstrate their commitment to making a difference and supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission. Please get in touch with Amber Nore at (402) 281-4899 or anore@bbbsomaha.org to learn more.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit our community-based mentoring program. Through the generosity and support of participants and sponsors, BBBS Lincoln has a goal of raising $20,000.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln:
For 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As an affiliate of the nation's largest donor-and-volunteer-supported mentoring network, BBBS Lincoln makes meaningful matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 7 through 14, in Lincoln, Nebraska. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Our evidence-based, community-centered program provides inclusive mentoring services for young people that set us apart by enabling us to impact children outside the classroom and support youth year-round.
