This month’s installment of the Business Toolbox Series will highlight the startup ecosystem here in Lincoln. From grassroots efforts to firmly planted fixtures, we will discuss the journey of these entrepreneurs and gather insight on their experiences building their businesses. Paul Jarrett, Bulu
Paul Jarrett, Paul Jarrett is the CEO & Co-Founder of Bulu, the industry authority in creating private-label Subscription Box businesses for the world's largest retail brands. Paul and his Co-Founder, Stephanie launched Bulu's flagship program, Bulu Box in 2012 as the 6th Subscription Box to the market. Paul quickly gained recognition as a trailblazer and has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, PBS, Inc., CBS News, and many other major media outlets. Paul is well-known as an Ecommerce and consumer packaged goods expert, as well as a memorable keynote speaker.
Matthew Wegener, Turbine Flats
In 1998, Matthew launched a software startup called ISoft Data Systems. Since then, he has worked within the tech ecosystem to build a community of entrepreneurs who help each other along the way. The Turbine Flats Project has existed as the brainchild of Matthew Wegener for 20 years.
Turbine Flats officially launched in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2008 with 22 people and 11,500 square feet. Today the Flats is home to 30+ companies and over 40,000 SF of office and industrial space. Their campus is located at 2124 Y Street in Lincoln in an old WWII safe manufacturing building. It is a robust, collaborative environment for small and start-up businesses to bring their products and ideas to market.
Christie Stukenholtz, Senior Care Finder
Christie Stukenholtz is the co-founder, and CEO of Senior Care Finder. Senior Care Finder was founded in 2019 to transform the way individuals search, compare, and find the best senior living or care. It is the only complete nationwide directory of assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and more.
Christie's professional background spans the globe. She has lived and worked in both China and Spain and spent a decade doing business in Europe & Asia and establishing a Latin America presence for a US-based human capital firm. Christie then led all operations for a full-service market research company. She is passionate about pushing boundaries and championing a new era of senior living and care that puts the consumer first.
