Join us for our Face the Chamber event on March 24 with University of Nebraska President Ted Carter! Face the Chamber is a popular luncheon event held seven times annually with speakers addressing a variety of topics including public policy issues and updates on matters affecting business and our quality of life. Featured speakers often include public officials and other prominent members of our community. Admission is $20 ($25 at the door) and includes lunch. Please pre-register to ensure your spot.

SPEAKER: 

On January 1, 2020, Ted Carter became the eighth president of the University of Nebraska.  Ted is the immediate past superintendent of his alma mater, the U.S. Naval Academy, where he served from 2014 to 2019.  Under Ted’s leadership, the Naval Academy’s Class of 2019 achieved a record-high graduation rate of 90 percent and the academy was ranked the nation’s No. 1 public university by Forbes Magazine. He also formed the nation’s first accredited cyber operations major and accredited a nuclear engineering major. Prior to joining the Naval Academy, Ted served as president of the U.S. Naval War College. Ted and his wife Lynda look forward to making Nebraska their new home.
