High School Sports Important to Lincoln

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau work diligently to maintain Lincoln as the center for Nebraska High School athletics.
Many of you may have seen a beautiful new facility near Haymarket Park and wondered what it was. The Chamber and CVB worked with several entities involved in Nebraska high school sports to secure a this new facility which will be the main offices of Nebraska School Activities Association(NSAA), the Nebraska Coaches Association and the Nebraska High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Thank you to these three entities for their continued commitment to Lincoln and for adding an impressive piece to Lincoln's Sports Triangle.

Contact your Senator to urge them to support Sen. Russ Karpisek's LB 867, a bill which will lower Lancaster Country employee's retirement match from 150 percent to 100 percent of employee contribution. LB 867 is a Retirement Committee Priority Bill.

Lincoln's New Arena to be Named Pinnacle Bank Arena

Lincoln’s new arena in the West Haymarket area will be named Pinnacle Bank Arena. Mayor Chris Beutler, Pinnacle Bancorp Chairman Sid Dinsdale and Pinnacle Bank President Mark Hesser announced the naming rights agreement at a news conference this morning at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. A scale model of the arena with the new name also was unveiled, and it will be on display at the Chamber office, 1135 “M” Street through December.
